One of the first Star Wars desk lamps I ever designed! With massive help from my art director to make sure the decal artwork was perfectly spaced on the final product (they traveled to the factory to measure the base to create a cutter guide for the decals.) Together we designed this product before there were vector assets provided by licensor! Quite a challenge to figure out the details before the film had even been released.
Star Trek TOS & TNG Mini-Bridge Model desk lamps! After mocking up roughs using style guide assets, I hunted down photos of set props and replicas and passed reference to a 3D artist on the team. Together we lovingly recreated two versions of the bridge of the Starship Enterprise. Never have I spent so much time measuring and designing tiny sticker decals for the detailed work on these sweet desk lamps. Another fun project for Thinkgeek.
For this project I coordinated with licensors and the buyers to ensure all details were as accurate as physical possible down to the panel displays.
